Get to know Drew

If you made it this far, you are in the process of finding someone you can trust to capture images of something important. So first off, congratulations on this amazing milestone in your life! Whether it be your wedding, a graduation, an engagement, a growing family, or any other moment in time you will want to remember, you deserve to be present in those moments and I am humbled you are considering me as your photographer.

I married my wife in 2012 and we became a family of three. We had our daughter two years later as I was earning a bachelor’s degree in visual arts and graphic design. I had been working with children with neurobehavioral disorders for 12 years. My patience and empathy made me perfect for this position as I understood many of the behaviors my students exhibited were out of frustration. I had a great rapport with the students and staff, but I was ready for a change. So here we are!

I now bring that same empathy and patience with me to every session. There have been countless times I have had tears run down my face as a father dances with his daughter on her wedding day, or during a heartfelt toast from a loved one or during emotional reading of vows. I want you and your guests to be fully immersed in these moments as you trust your memories are being preserved.

Every wedding is different, and I am there for you. I’m not there for my portfolio or for my social media posts. I am there for the raw emotions and moments that happen during your wedding. Please don’t get me wrong, we will create some amazing images that will last a lifetime and I can’t wait to hear what you have planned!

Weddings

With the ability to shift between documentary style photography and portrait style photography, I will make sure your wedding photos are always captured beautifully. I have a firm understanding of off-camera lighting so if your venue needs it, I will make sure you are seen in the most flattering light. I don’t like to interfere with the moments throughout the day, but occasionally I may move you to a better lit area to make sure your photos are aesthetically pleasing.

I send a couple full wedding galleries with each quote which gives you an idea of how I approach a wedding day. From detail photos and getting ready, to the ceremony, portraits and reception. You will see it all! I also include a copy of my pricing guide which includes prices (obviously!) as well as an example wedding timeline, tips for your engagement session, some of my preferred vendors and more. Engagement

Yay! You’re engaged to be married! This is such a short period of time in your life that you have a fiancé (or fiancée). The average couple is only engaged for a little over a year. Let’s celebrate that moment with a couple’s portrait session! This is also a great way to get to know each other and see how I work. It will also get you comfortable in front of the lens and won’t make you do any awkward poses (unless you’re into awkward poses). I love when couples incorporate activities or locations that are meaningful to them. So let’s chat more about your shared hobbies and interests and capture those genuine moments between you and your partner!

Portraits

Preserve memories and document the passage of time with a family, senior or maternity session. Let these images show your unique personal style and aesthetics. A portrait session is a chance to come together, have fun during the photoshoot, and create lasting memories as a family. The process of updating family portraits can also be an opportunity for bonding and strengthening family relationships, as you capture genuine interactions, emotions, and connections among each other.
